From humble beginnings, Adelaide electrician David Stevens was taught the old-fashioned approach by his uncle, who prioritised superior materials and workmanship over financial success.

In 2010, David initially saw an issue with the solar sector. He didn’t like how the big companies in the sector were treating customers, giving them little information before installation and no help afterwards.

He was most irritated by the solar business owners who planned their operations to close down when business was slow, leaving customers without warranties.

David decided to start Goliath Electrical, as it was known at the time because he was determined to provide a trustworthy alternative. His goal was to create a business that would offer South Australian customers high-quality solar systems that would be installed by amiable neighbourhood electricians and foster long-lasting customer connections.

To help David implement his service focus on the business and educate clients honestly about everything solar, David enlisted the help of his best friend Tom, who shared his vision and beliefs.

The mentality hasn’t changed since 2012, although the team name has. The small local team, currently operating under the name Goliath Solar & Electrical, is committed to providing excellent, trustworthy, and timely client care both before and after installation.
