In 2005, Rede founded Ogden Power under the name Ogden Electrical, performing general electrical contracting as a one-man operation. In 2006, Rede quickly attained his certification in the design and installation of grid-connected and off-grid solar power systems while working on multiple distant off-grid solar power installations.

Ogden Power expanded, and in 2008 they began construction on the Crowne Plaza Alice Springs, which would eventually house Australia's largest grid connect system.

After a major install in Araluen, they placed second in the 2013 Clean Energy Council industry awards. As the prizes are a national honour, they were pleased with their second-place finish.

As the preferred distributor for the NT region of the WINAICO solar panel line, Ogden Power and WINAICO Australia began working together in 2013. Working closely with WINAICO, Ogden Power then began creating off-grid solutions for rural Australia.
