Most likely, your most recent energy bill didn’t exactly make you happy, and now you’re wondering what you can do to stop paying money you don’t have to your energy supplier.

One of Australia’s largest retailers of renewable energy is Smart Energy. If you’re new around here, that’s residential solar and batteries.

Smart Energy has developed significantly from its modest origins. Elliott Hayes and Beau Savage, the company’s founders, got their business off the ground in a dusty warehouse in the Northern Rivers.

The two collaborated after discovering a glaring hole in the market at the tail end of 2016, and they have since worked endlessly to increase Smart Energy’s reach and provide inexpensive renewable energy options to homes across Australia.

The business started out in that small warehouse and has since grown to 11 offices throughout the country, including one in Byron Bay, this being the main office. There are currently branches operating in the UK and, most recently, the US.
